![]() ![]() While living with the second Slingshot loaner, I spoke once again with Slingshot Product Manager Garrett Moore, as well as Senior Staff Engineer James Holroyd, more specifically about the manual version. To be fair, even with the third pedal, the Slingshot still isn't perfect straight from the factory-and I'd argue that no vehicle truly is. For those interested in the Slingshot's eye-catching style but less concerned with actual driving dynamics, I understand the perspective that might lead to an automatic purchase, though I simply can't agree. Watch my previous reviews to learn more about either the AutoDrive Slingshot with its paddle shifters or just how well the stick shift ties the whole package together as a canyon carver par excellence. The manual-equipped Slingshot that Polaris loaned me second-after I came away from the automatic-equipped model relatively disappointed-definitely helped prove the platform's potential. After almost a month total driving two different Polaris Slingshots, I finally began to feel comfortable in the driver's seat of this hardcore three-wheel design. ![]()
